Fashion in Grand style

Wearable Art Competition

The wearable art competition was designed to showcase young and upcoming designers from Barbados and the Caribbean who are studying fashion or interested in making fashion their career. This will give them the opportunity to fuse they creativity in showcasing they versatility by creating a garment using newspaper rather than fabric to create a piece. Winner of this year’s competition will win prize money, a feature in three magazines along with a fashion spread of their work, an award and opportunity to showcase in a fashion week in the Caribbean, Canada or New York City. This competition will be part of the High Fashion Exhibition to open the week of activities for BB Fashion Week and the Toast to Fashion.

The High Fashion Exhibition

The High Fashion Exhibition will be the opening event for this year’s BB Fashion Week featuring fashion photography at its best as photographers take Fashion photography to the extreme. This competition will showcase over 10 or more Photographers competing for the Award of Fashion Photographer in this year’s competition. Photographers are only allowed to show 3 pieces for this competition. Winner of this year’s competition work will be shown in three fashion publications online or print and will receive a cash prize. Exhibitions will be on sale for persons interested in purchasing the photographers work of art. This Exhibition will be on display for 8days for viewing by the public and will be closed on the final day of the fashion week for the Awards presentation and the Toast to Fashion.

The Toast To Fashion (TTTF)

(TTTF) The Toast to Fashion will be the Dress for it event to climax the weekend of spectacular fashion from around the world. TTTF showcasing and highlighting Caribbean Talent at its best as we Award those who have given of their time to help develop the industry to where it is now. This cocktail reception will take the format of an Awards and fashion party as guest would be invite to enjoy the evening of entertainment on the completion of the awards presentation. This event will be by invitation only. Awards from the Caribbean Fashion Awards will be presented along with the Wearable Art and Fashion Photography Award.
